Recently, the Central Government has circulated a concept note on CZM Notification to all State Governments for their feed back. We consider this move as a major step towards implementation of the controversial CZM Notification. In this context, there is an urgent need to strengthen the struggles against CZM all over the country.

The Kerala Swatantra Malsyathozhilaly Federation ( KSMTF ) has decided to organize a march on the World Fisheries Day on November 21, 2007 in Trivandrum to protest against this move. On this day, the fishing community will march to the office of Kerala Coastal Zone Management Authority in Pattom in Trivandrum and resist against the official plan to facilitate coastal invasion.
